Hiya guys

I had to post today as I am having a really REALLY bad day!!!!!!!!!!

Since I have had that chat with my booty call guy I felt Sooooooooooo much better. I felt like I really had closure and he really wasnt in my thoughts much at all and I saw it all so clearly. I accepted that we wont be together and was fine with it - I even realised that I could do so much better then him anyway.

Now check this out - I had a DREAM about him last night - It was a god-damned DREAM it wasnt even real, but today I feel like crying, and now I miss him all over again I wasnt even thinking about him last night so why the hell did I dream about him? - WHAT THE HELL IS THIS ABOUT????????????

In the dream my friends where telling me how he was chatting up all these girls - And I kept seeing him talking to girls and ignoring me, and turning his back on me (He has NEVER done this to me) WHY AM I SO UPSET???????????

Has this ever happened to anyone here? Please tell me it has cos I feel like a FREAK!

Don't know why you dreamed this... but I've often dreamt of ex partners after a break-up and often it brings up feelings that you feel you've put away! It's strange how dreams and the feelings in them can then stay with us the next day and feel sooooo dammed real!!

I would try to rationalise this as just a dream, part of moving on. I'm sure you won't have too many. :)

i cant remember where i read it, but somewhere it says dreams complete emotional arcs/desires that you can't complete when awake. something like that. if that makes any sense, i don't know, but i think its basically saying dreams can be leftover emotions that haven't run their course yet, or just random crap put together (according to some). i really do think dreams are sometimes your emotions sorting themselves out, when you remember them after you wake up, the stuff you don't allow yourself to think about when awake comes out. ive had disturbing dreams plenty of times, and the ones that feel and seem real are the worst. luckily, they stop eventually with ex's or whatever

Please tell me it has cos I feel like a FREAK!

But you are a freak! That's why we at LS are crazy about you!

But seriously folks...

It's perfectly normal, even healthy, to experience dreams like this that bugger up your whole day. It's no fun, I know, but it doesn't make you nutso.

I have an idea: Spend the weekend here and when you have a bad dream you can wake me up and we can . That should work.

I've had some doosy dreams about ex's, and currents, that leave me feeling like crap the next day. It's not fun. :(

I believe that it's my minds way of working through situations that, although may not have happend, have the potential of happening. Kind of like preparation for a battle. If we face the things that make us feel scared, or insecure, in our minds, then if reality hits us, we're better able to deal with it.

For instance, I had a ton of dreams when first dating the bf that he was leaving, or had found someone else he was sooo incredibly happy with. They sucked! It felt so real. I'd wake up balling sometimes. This was my worst fear. The one that would drive me to do stupid, desperate things. And it actually helped me a lot to have these dreams. (I didn't enjoy it though) But I faced the fear, had seen the worst my mind could come up with, and had to deal with the emotions as if they were real, because to me they were.

Now, I'd be hurt if he left me for someone new, but I don't feel that desperate fear anymore. I've dealt with the issues, and come to conclusions.

I suggest you analyze your dream, find out what specifically bothered you about it, how it made you feel, and why. Doesn't matter where it came from, the mind does weird things when we're sleeping. But I think it can be used to help us grow and learn.

That dream set off emotions in you and was all over the map, so ofcourse waking up, it hit you like a ton of bricks!

I've had awful dreams before and the only thing to do is keep it in perspective. It's just a dream, whatever happened doesn't MEAN anything. Though tell the emotions that eh? I'm sure as the day goes on and the busier you get, you'll forget about it. IF that doesn't work, MAKE yourself forget the dream...No point in re-living it and thinking about it, will only make you feel worse.

Hahhahahhaa that sounds like a plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;)

I feel ok now. I thought about the dream alot but I told myself that it doesnt matter WHO he chats up. He isn't with me so what has it got to do with me?

It was just crazy that I hadnt even been thinking about him. I went out last night and had loads to drink at my christmas girls night out and i STILL didn'd think about him - Then I have that stupid dream and it knocks me back to waking up thinking about him. I felt like now he even ruled my sleep - And he isn't worth it!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your reply's you are all great as usual :D

And errrrrrrrr Slubber I am checking out the flight prices as we speak!!!!! ;)

And walk you are right (as usual my love!) it made me deal with the emotions of him being with a new girl! So maybe that is why we have these dreams!
