OK, this sounds weird and gross...but...I have this weird thing that has happened for years....after I brush my teeth, like 30 minutes afterwards, I have this weird film on the inside of my mouth, cheeks mainly. It is kind of gooey and sticky and like thin chewing gum and it clear or white. It is really gross and stringy. Any clew what this could be? It happens no matter what kind of toothpaste I use. I have perfect teeth, clean, no cavities...I am too embarssed to ask the dentist. Help!!

Medical people have seen it all. By the time they start working on you, they've been up to their elbows in things so gross they'd be embarrassed to tell YOU. So never ever be 'too embarrassed' to tell any medical person anything because there's no way you'll be grosser than anything they've seen before.

I GET THAT TOO!!! It is weird. At first I thought it was my skin falling off the inside of my cheeks. The last time I went to the dentitst, I told him about it, and he said I would have to ask my regular doctor. So, I cant help ya really, but it is comforting to know that someone else has this issue too!

Change your toothpaste. What's happening is the epithelial cells on the inside of your mouth are getting damaged by the toothpaste. (You may be slightly allergic to it.) Yes, it's gross and disgusting, but it's no big deal. I get the same thing after I eat salt & vinegar chips.
