RottenGazebo Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I'm going to a movie with a girl. This is our first date. How much is ok? Can I hold her hand? Can I put my arm around her? Can I kiss her?
NewLee40 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Oh you are cute. How old are you? Holding hands is perfectly acceptable on a first date. For me, holding hands is a very sweet, non-threatening way to show you like her a little more than a friend. At the end of the date, if you sense she is receptive give her a little hug, and go in for the quick little kiss. That would be about perfect
witabix Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Oh you are cute. How old are you? I used to cringe at such when I was a lad, hey RottenGazebo you aren't cute, you're a DUDE! 10 out of 10 for being considerate. I would reckon that with that basic mindset you won't go far wrong. Holding hands is always a good non threatening way to show you are interested, regardless of your age. Remember she is , I presume, the same age as yourself so she will be in the same situation as you are. My advice is - be nice, be cool, be yourself, listen to her, be polite and if she wants to pay her way let her. Good luck mate!
slubberdegullion Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I second the above-mentioned suggestions. But do you think a movie is a good idea? At a movie, the couple's attention is focused on the screen, and there's very little conversation. How about taking her to dinner instead, when you and she can really get a chance to talk? Whatever you do and wherever you end up going, have fun and good luck!

I agree with slubberdegullion, try to make sure its not a 'straight to movies and home' go for a bite to eat or a quick drink (NOT ALCOHOLIC UNLESS YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH!!!!) before the movie. Oh and by the way if she has a time to be home at ensure she is home five minutes before hand. A friendly Mum and Dad can be a major plus
