JS17 Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 My friend that I was supposed to be hanging out with tonight is trying to set me up with one of his friends (or so it seems). I've haven't had much luck lately, or ever for that matter, with guys and I'm getting kind of tired of it so I don't really think I want to meet this guy. Should I or will meeting someone that I know isn't right for me just be more disappointing? What do I say to my friend?
slubberdegullion Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Well, you don't know for a fact that you and this dude won't hit it off. Besides, getting out and about on a Friday night restoreth the soul. Go have fun with no expectations. Hey, ya never know... ya might even get laid!
Author JS17 Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Well I'm going out either way and I'm not looking to get laid. Unfortunately I don't work that way no matter how hard I wish I did Yes, you are right, I don't know for sure that I won't hit it off with this guy but I have a strong gut instinct that I won't.
kitkat826 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Being the eternal optimist I am, if I had any desire to go out tonight I would probably take up my friend's friend on his offer. If I really just felt like being a homebody, I woud tell my friend that I just wasn't feeling well.
Author JS17 Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 thanks guys. I'm going out tonight regardless but I just don't know how I feel about the set up.
cplfun13 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Go have fun!! The best dates I went on were the ones where I had no expectations of the guy or the evening. It allowed me to just have fun, No pressures.
tinktronik Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Go out have fun, worst case you meet a new human, best case you make a new friend.
