luvtoto Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 I just found out that my neighbor lady died from committing suicide. She was young with young kids. I never knew her, but my son is friends with her son. I've talked to the husband on a few occasions but never saw/met her. Thought it was a little strange. My son has gone over to their house to play on numerous occasions. What should I tell my son? He's only 10. This is soooo sad. I feel awful.
RainyDayWoman Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 i would talk about the normal death stuff that you usually talk about with kids. he has no need to know about the manner of death, he's too young for that. if he somehow finds out about it being suicide (like from the lady's son) then you can let him ask questions and answer them as thoughfully as possible.
