uRabbit Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 You see, my girlfriend's parents are well-to-do and she pretty much has everything. But she doesn't have much from me, so I know that what I get her will be special to her. But, I just don't know what to get her. I was thinkin of gettin her a locket with my picture in it, but that's a little cliche. So then I thought about a picture me or both of us in a picture frame. Then I thought about fragrances, but she has enough of those. Hmm... I know she'd appreciate that picture of us, but how am I supposed to get her to go with me to get our pictures taken without her knowin what I'm gettin her? Plus, she doesn't like to get her picture taken, although she's a beautiful person...
curiousnycgirl Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 You haven't given us enough information to help. What are her interests/hobbies, how long have you been dating, etc.?
Author uRabbit Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 We've been together for four months. Thing is, though, she really doesn't have any hobbies. She's in sky-diving right now, and I was thinkin of gettin her somethin for that, but that's not very personal. In the evenings, when she's not grounded, she's just on her computer. Strange, though, considering she's kind of a prep. Haha. And on weekends, she sky-dives and hangs with me...
Milo Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Ugh. I am absolutely dreading Christmas. I hope no one gets me anything. That I could handle nicely. I really used to love Christmas, too.
westernxer Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Get her a landing cushion (for shagging/skydiving).
Author uRabbit Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 Get her a landing cushion (for shagging/skydiving). A landing cushion? I thought that was for, like, stunt jumpers. *shrug* I guess I'll try to get her that framed picture. I guess.

Author uRabbit Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 Is this the girl that cheated on you? You remembered that? Well, ya, it's the same girl. But we spent somet time apart (a month) and thought things through. I re-evaluated the situation and so did she. So now, I'm takin a chance with her, but not without her doing everything it takes...
NYCmitch25 Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Well prolly $150 and below... are you *really* trying to impress her ? Thinking about it a little more, it's hard to say what she likes. Does she like plays, fancy dinners, message's or is she a simple more practical girl? I asked my friend Nicole and she said earrings or Necklace. I guess she meant diamond earrings which is a nice gesture and you could probably get a cheaper quality diamond because you can't really see them in earrings (basically the fashion montra is not to get fancy diamond earrings). I think for a little more you could get a nice Tiffany's silver necklace or bracelet which would probably really impress her (it says Tiffany's on it).... what do you think?

I think jewelry or the picture is the way to go. Hmm. I know she loves jewelry. I don't think she has many earrings she likes to wear... She has one set of diamond earrings and she always wears em. So ya... And I know she likes necklaces. Well I'll definitely look around.
westernxer Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 So now, I'm takin a chance with her, but not without her doing everything it takes... I wouldn't spend $150 on a risky investment.
Author uRabbit Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 Holy shiite! Tiffany jewelry is crazy! I don't have $2500 for a pair of earrings!
curiousnycgirl Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Ok so you are fairly young, although not so young because $150 is a lot of money! My first reaction was a web cam, if she doesn't have one, cuz then you guys can see eachother during the week, etc. Then based on wealthy parents, locket (I agree it's been done), etc. I thought Tiffany's! The Elsa Perretti collection has 2 different silver heart necklaces, one is the carved heart, the other is the classic open heart. The carved heart is $150.00 and the open heart is either $150 or and include the chain. The Paloma Picasso collection has the Loving Heart pendant for $135 If you want to stay away from hearts - just go to the Tiffany web site (much easier than the store, cuz everything is in one place) and do a search by price. No woman can resist ANYTHING given in a Tiffany blue box!

Author uRabbit Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 Ya, I figured that out. And now I've got, like, five things on a wish list.
