ms_jnj Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Alright I need some advice. I'm going on my first date since....well a while. About 8 months ago I broke up with someone I had been with for 5 years. I'm a bit shy, so that and the fact that I am not exactly experienced in the dating game is making me very nervous. It is almost a blind date situation in that we've talked and seen each other but have never previously hung out. From what I know of him so far, I like him a lot, and I really don't want to screw things up. We are eating at The Melting Pot (Highscale fondue, lol) and then going to see open mic night at a local bar. So I just need general advice! How to keep the conversation flowing, good topics to talk about, first-date tips and tricks, how to not be shy...anything at all. Help me out ye of more experience! Thanks:bunny:
Dookie_Dont Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Just be yourself, don't lead on to be something your not. Being shy is something that can really hold you back, but just relax. Wear something you feel comfortable in as well, its how he will determine your personality and such. I for one feel a whole lot more comfortable wearing one of my band shirts than wearing dress clothes that I do at work. One time I met with a girl after work in my dress clothes, ah I felt horrible But be yourself.
