ThatWoman Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 So this past weekend I went on a first date with someone....this wasn't what we had originally planned to do, but we went out for dinner and rented a movie. Overall I think the date went okay, he was a little negative...I know a lot about what he doesn't like...I'm attributing that to nervous talking. He paid for my dinner, which I thanked him for. He walked in front of me and never opened a door for me...not that I need to have that...but it was our first date. When we rented the movie he chose the movie and I offered to pay for it; since we were in his town it was under his name and I gave him a $20 to pay for it and never got any change....what should I think of that? Should I have said something and if so, what? He said he wants to see me again, but he has to check his schedule before we plan something......does this mean he isn't going to have time for me? OR Does this mean he's not really interested and didn't know how to say that? Please help me!
bab Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Um, why do you want to go out with him again? My thoughts exactly. Doesn't exactly sound like a winner...

Jellostick Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Hey, I don't know what's up w/ that guy but personally, when I take a girl out I always pay, always open the car door for them or any door for that matter, always ask them what they'd like to do instead of me deciding for them and try to be the best guy I can be to them. I'd like to see myself as being a polite guy w/ manners and I'm proud I feel that way about myself, though, like everyone else, I do have my flaws. This guy doesn't seem too polite though, as far as what I think polite should be. I just don't believe he treated you well on your date. I think he could have definitely been more of a gentlemen toward you, unless there are things he did that were gentlemen-like that you haven't mentioned. Are you interested in him? If so, why? I guess I just believe in showing a woman respect when I take them out and when I'm w/ them and you didn't paint a pretty picture of this guy. Do you think it's really worth going out w/ him again? Cheers.
