johan Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 My ex was a little extreme hygenically, but she washed religiously. To be honest, I appreciated that, because I'm also careful that way. I've never been in a little girls' room. I have no idea what techniques there may be for female urination, and I don't want to. Use of the hands may or may not be required, and I'm happy keeping that a mystery. But I would like to know if washing hands afterwards should be considered a standard, and if not what are the rules? Should I be concerned if a girl returns from the bathroom with warm, bone dry hands? Keep in mind I'm only talking #1 here. #2 goes without saying.
JS17 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I don't know where you're going with this Johan but men and women should was her hands every time they're in the bathroom. There are germs everywhere in a bathroom.
whichwayisup Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 My mom always told me when I was little, after you pee or poo WASH your hands. To this day I always do just that. This is funny, preparations for doing an ultrasound I had afew weeks ago, I had to drink 6 glasses of water an hour before my appt. Well, afterwards it was like that long drunken pee one does (you know the one, lol!) over and over and over again. Every 5-10 mins I had to pee out Niagara Falls for over 2 hours. I washed my hands every single time! Just couldn't bring myself to walk out of my bathroom, even knowing shortly I'd be back in there again going. (Thankgod for handcream!)
jen_jen_heartbroken Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 EVERYONE should be washing their hands for a minimum of 15 seconds. That's not a fast 15 seconds...that's a FULL 15 seconds. Anything you touch in a bathroom is germy. And I always turn off the faucet with the towel I tried my hands with. You can never be too careful. I always give a dirty look to the women who splash their hands with two seconds of water and think that they've washed their hands. It really is so gross...and a lot of the worst offenders are well-dressed, educated women who should know better.
Author johan Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 Ok, it sounds like there's no way to give the benefit of the doubt here. I'm suspicious of the warm, dry hands. Might make sense at a place that has air dryers, but I don't have them installed at my house.
d'Arthez Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Research consistently shows that the keyboard in an office, is dirtier than the average toilet in an office. Want dirty sex? Just type a few minutes on the keyboard, before using the fingers.
Fun2BMe Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Why don't you check to see if the sink is wet and water was used after she comes out of the bathroom to find out if she washed her hands? Also, turn on the warm tap to see if she used warm water. Usually if cold water doesn't run then warm water was used. That might explain why her hands are warm.
whichwayisup Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Good idea. Sink check and soap check too. It's so easy to tell if someone has used soap or not..OR, sniff her hands...OOPS, maybe not if she hasn't washed them... My rule is, when you're out and about then come home, first thing you do is wash the hands. Hot water and soap, 15 secs atleast. I space out so usually it goes longer...Then my hubby is usually saying at that point, "OK hurry up, I think the soap is off!" lol!

Soap dry, sink dry, towel dry, hands dry, etc. I think it's pretty much a given. I was going more for the idea that she may be able to get away with not touching anything in the process. Like I said, I don't know the techniques. This does not look encouraging...
Israfil Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Want dirty sex? Just type a few minutes on the keyboard' date=' before using the fingers.[/quote'] OMG . . . I just fell off my chair laughing . . .
JS17 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Maybe she just went into the bathroom to check her make up or for a breather. I don't know. It's not good hygene but I'm not sure it's something I would break up with someone over though.
Outcast Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I have no idea what techniques there may be for female urination, and I don't want to. Use of the hands may or may not be required, and I'm happy keeping that a mystery. I was going more for the idea that she may be able to get away with not touching anything in the process You are correct. You'd have to be dumbass careless to get it on your hands. There's an orifice - below there's a pool of water. There is no requirement to use hands. Now maybe if she's menstruating there are things which must be done or if she's wearing some sort of clothing that buttons or fastens at the groin but otherwise hands need never come into contact with any body parts nor anything that issues therefrom. Plus there is paper which can be used in quantity to deal with any further issues. However people who may not be careful or who may be dumbass sloppy may well have grasped those taps prior to washing their hands.
Author johan Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 OK, I see where you're going with this, Outcast. In fact, theoretically, a clever girl could leave the restroom with cleaner hands that when she entered without washing them. Because she may brush some germs she already had on her hands off on the paper you mentioned. I'd imagine that could only happen in rare circumstances, and I wouldn't bet on it. On balance, I've concluded that a good scrub is in order. For the sake of anyone who may be thinking about getting down with you later.
kitkat826 Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I don't know. It's not good hygene but I'm not sure it's something I would break up with someone over though. Hehe. It all sounds like a Seinfeld episode.
JS17 Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Hehe. It all sounds like a Seinfeld episode. I was totally thinking that Johan sounded like Seinfeld when I was writing that post!
mini696 Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Jesus... Talk about over the top with worry.
Outcast Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I guess the time to be concerned about him is if he starts insisting they boil themselves before he goes down on them.
Author johan Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 I guess the time to be concerned about him is if he starts insisting they boil themselves before he goes down on them. Boiling would be cruel. Ever heard of bleach?
Outcast Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Thus proving once and for all why one should keep people from the internet FAR away
jen_jen_heartbroken Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 There's a woman in my office who never washes her hands when I see her leave the bathroom stall. I never eat any of the homemade "goodies" she brings to the the office. Who knows if those are chocolate chips in those cookies, or something else entirely.
bunnzy Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 You guys are so so paranoid. talk about germaphobic. i thought some of these posts about checking if the sink was wet and if the tap warm was a joke, but people are actually taking this seriously? Yes i wash my hands, not every single time is all. When i do, i wash with warm water and soap, dry off with a towel, preferably. sometimes im in a rush and just don't. Is that disgusting? No i dont think it is. Not all public restrooms ive been to have provided soap or a way to dry your hands. so what to do? go without. Its not going to kill you, maybe make you a little sick, or built up the immunity system.
Art_Critic Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 how many people wash their hands after have sex ? I always wash my hands after using the restroom.. unless I'm at home alone.. We have a bookeeper at work that has her own restroom and when I used it once I noticed that she didn't have any soap.. So I asked her is she knew this duh ! She said she walks to the kitchen sink to wash her hands.. It's the first women I've ever seen not wash her hands...
jen_jen_heartbroken Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Some people don't have good immune systems. cancer patients, etc. And filthy people who don't wash their hands are putting those sick people at risk. Way to go, selfish people.
Author johan Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 ...Way to go, selfish people. Ha, ha. That made me laugh. Those damn selfish people. They ruin everything.
konfuzd Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 First off, I wash my hands every time I use the washroom.... and before eating... why is it that this seems to be more of a non-issue? Urine is actually very clean when it leaves the body, it's just a great breeding ground for bacteria that's already existing in the environment. (learned this from my bro who has a PHD in microbiology) It's always good practice to wash your hands because most of the illness we pick up is from doorknobs, telephones, keyboards etc... that people deposit germs from coughing, sneezing and such on their hands... saliva is more of a risk for sickness than urine.
