playmeasong Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 so i gave my number to a slightly younger man and havent heard anything yet (day 4).... here's the deal.... he has been really flirting wiht me for a long time and more than usual lately (i'm talking eye contact, look away, even longer eye contact, lots of smiles, etc). so i was tihnking that maybe he's just really shy - or intimidated by an older chick (22 vs 27).... so i did it, i saw an opportunity and went for it- we were having conversation for aobut 10 min and then i just came out and asked him if he is seeing anyone to which he said no... but then there was dead silence - he didnt take the bait and ask for my number... so i gave it to him.... but again, havent heard anything. i should however point out that he was going away to florida for a week the very next day. still, will he call? whats going on - flirting but then some deer-in-the-headlights when i broch the subject??? i dont think i've ever had a guy not respond when i made my interest clear. i dont get it. any ideas?
country gal Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 damn shy boys, cant ever read'um. well i'm in a similar predicament only you've gone furhter than me - so far! your situation is a tough one. the vacation thing is sticky. i konw if i were really interested in a guy and had his number, in most cases, i would call even though i was away (esp if i was going for longer than like 4 days). so that could be why he hasnt called. also throw shyness in there and that could even more explain it. however, personally, i wouldnt hang my hopes on this one .... maybe not totally give up but dont get your hopes too high. besides if it is shyness then all i have to say is, who wants a man wiht no balls?? good luck

That should be a damn good indication right there as to why he hasnt. If I go on vacation I rarely call anyone back home. One of the main reasons I take vacation. I bet as soon as he gets back he will have something to look forward to and call you. =)
