The said friend during a drunken stupor confessed his love for you .

what would your reaction be considering that you just wanted to be friends

 

would you

 

Listen to him as long as he wanted to talk/ cut him off and end the conversation

 

feel like you needed to cut contact completely

 

continue to listen to his ramblings when he called

 

be honest and put him in check

 

ignore him untill he goes away

 

I'm interested on your thoughts on this and any experiences you have had and care to share

Drunkenness makes some people 'love' everyone. You've certainly seen enough 'I love you, man' being uttered by drunks to their buddies. I wouldn't consider it a 'confession'. But then I wouldn't hang out with drunks, either.

It depends on the situation and the person. Maturity will also dictate how someone will act in this situation.

Or I am wrong and you are a girl and asking what you should do with a guy friend who loves you.

 

Depends on how good a friend they are and if their feelings mean anything to you.

well if the guys drunk then i wouldnt believe him, but if he really meant it i would be honest and put him in check

Ok I did this last night and rambled on for quite a few minutes and tried to call her today ..yet to return call so I'm wondering if she will ignore me now, she never really said much just sat there and listened .....just a few ahhs here and there

 

the one time I brought up a relationship with her about 3 months ago I got the my heart is broken and need time speech so I started dating another girl and she seemed to start wanting to spend time together, I got dumped a week or so ago

 

I feel like I'm getting mixed signals from her, like she wants to put me in a holding pattern, she was jealous at least once or twice ... I dont want ya nobody else can have ya thing and wont give me what I consider strait answer to me I need time is not a strait answer more like a postponement

 

so now I want to put it on the line and say what the hell do you want, then act accordingly ..... you think thats too in your face ?

 

she did respond to an email I sent, just not called me back think she willo ignore me now

If it were me, I would think that you were just drunk and just got dumped so it probably didn't mean anything. If you're going to try it again, do it sober.
