brazeneye Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 What would you do if you moved to a city for university and to be closer to your boyfriend. Then, after a few months, you get really homesick, broke, and cry at every single thing that reminds you of home or your family. Even happy phone calls turn into teary ones. You tell your mother you are thinking of moving back home to finish your schooling. She's estatic. Offers you comfort security, and more finances if you come back home to finish school. You tell your boyfriend. He says he'd have to give you up, because he could no longer do a long distance relationship with you now that he gets to see you on a somewhat daily basis.
RecordProducer Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I'd say the relationship with your boyfriend is not really good and you don't like the new school. You can't always be momma's girl, you have to become independent some day. You can always go back to your home town - so let it be the bird on your shoulder that warms your heart up. Give it some time. Things usually become better with time. But if not, try another city or go home.
coloradodude Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 First and foremost: Do not make your decision based on what you think will happen with your boyfriend. That should not come into play, here. Secondly, college takes some adjustment. It's only Thanksgiving of your first year...you have to give it some time. My advice would be to wait untill the end of the school year (as in, next Spring) and if you still miss home that much, then think about moving back. the important thing, though, is to make these two seperate issues... Good Luck. Stay strong.
