lovehurt Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 This is my very first time here or in any forum for that matter you see I have a problem and no one to talk too about it so here it is. I woke up the other morning and walked to where my husband was he was on the computer and he was looking at a womans picture on-line sort of like a pin-up calendar picture and I surprised him because he didn't hear me coming he quickly minimized the window and when I asked him what was that I got not a word just a shake of his head like it was nothing. Now mind you the girl was fully dressed but in a sexy outfit a swede strapless halter a scimmpy black skirt and a black cowboy hat and I could see it was some kind of picture gallery because there were other pictures. This is eating me up inside and it hurts to think he has to look at other women like i'm maybe not good enough or not pretty enough I've always felt bad about the way I look and this didn't help. I love my husband to no end and I don't know why he was doing this. I know what your thinking it could have been worse ( like nude...) but to me this is just as bad and I know he knows I wouldn't like it or he wouldn't have hid it from me so quick.. So please I need some help from all you wives out there and hear what your thoughts are on this. Thank You & God bless.
jayteresa Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Why dont you look up on his computer at what he has looked at most recently, you should find links on his address scroll. That way you can find out the truth. Sounds harsh but sometimes it pays to play detective, may it be for better or worse. Sorry cannot offer much else. x

I'm just trying to gauge what your background is. I don't want to say this but seemingly the problem is with you . You have self image problems and it's being exacerbated by his normal behavior. I think somewhere around 80% of the Internet downloads are porn related (got that info from RoadRunner employee a few years back). He comes from the world where women are objectified to the point that even now men are now getting the same treatment with women "being men". Furthermore, it seems that he is within reason (and then some) of normalcy. In short, it is perfectly natural in American culture for men to feel this way about women. I see that you feel he is doing it "to you" but to be honest it has very little to do with your emotions and more to do with years of cultural learning. At the end of the day, what he does behind the monitor is his business and it's uncalled for to "rob Peter to pay Paul" by looking though his files and Internet caches to "prove" he is doing something you don't approve of. I suggest that you speak to a professional about your feelings and learn to deal with them and put things in proper perspective.
