I do not suspect the OP of being a troll; there are men out there who get off on fattening their wives, because it reduces their desirability to others and makes them more submissive. They enjoy the control, and there's emotional sadism involved, too, in making a person unattractive to others and society at large.

 

You should dump this guy, because he has a psychological problem and it's probably not going to change.
