This is like my 3rd post today but today is one of those hard days, you all know what I mean. I think music plays a huge part in all of our lives and going through a break up may make someone go what I feel is the wrong way: sad music.

There are songs that remind me of my ex, bands that she introduced to me, etc. and I try to stay away from those. I try really hard to stay away from sad songs even if I like them a lot. For now at least they are good to stay away from and I advise any of you going through what I am to stay away from sad songs. We are depressed enough already and don't need to be reminded of it. Still watch movies or do things that remind you of your ex, you don't have to avoid that as much, I just feel songs are killer.

Now I'm not saying listen to the most purely manufactured pop upbeat pop crap because that could depress you on a normal day haha. Just listen to inspiring songs or ones that make you reminisce but not in a negative way. The one song that defines this forum to me is "Message in a Bottle" by the Police:

Just a castaway, an island lost at sea, oh

Another lonely day, with no one here but me, oh

More loneliness than any man could bear

Rescue me before I fall into despair, oh

I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world

I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world

I hope that someone gets my

I hope that someone gets my

I hope that someone gets my

Message in a bottle, yeah

Message in a bottle, yeah

A year has passed since I wrote my note

But I should have known this right from the start

Only hope can keep me together

Love can mend your life but

Love can break your heart

I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world

I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world

I hope that someone gets my

I hope that someone gets my

I hope that someone gets my

Message in a bottle, yeah

Walked out this morning, don’t believe what I saw

Hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore

Seems I’m not alone at being alone

Hundred billion castaways, looking for a home

I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world

I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world

I hope that someone gets my

I hope that someone gets my

I hope that someone gets my

Message in a bottle, yeah (repeat)

Sending out at an s.o.s. (repeat until fade)

A man that is ready to give up on hope and has been through the biggest heartbreak of his life and he feels so alone throughout it all, even like he's the only one. By the end of the song he finds a hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore, meaning there are others going through it just like us and they are there for us.

Anyways, just try to do this, I am lol. Anyone that wants to add uplifters or tearjerkers feel free to
