I am probably too paranoid to chat about the goat. It's going to take a little more than some cup of steaming, thick, frothy, creamy, hot cocoa to urge me on.

Where the hell did that come from......?? oh well.... me and my damn addictive personality!

How is it that you made a cup of hot cocoa sound sexual? (Or is it just me? )

Ok...what's it going to take a4a? Come on...inquiring minds want to know! Do you really have a goat as a house pet?

Hmmmm....paranoid, addictive, impulse control issues, abuses animals, believes in spanking...lots of issues there a4a!:p

Ok...seriously you can tell us. No one here will bash you! Tell us!!!!!!

No offense Coco but I could have plugged cow pie in there instead of Cup of Cocoa.

Its a gift....... I could do the same with a bic pen....or jello mold.....however I was describing a yummy chocolate drink....... not sex.... You see I am actually out of chocolate and I do not feel like driving to the store...so your avatar is my only release for this addiction.

Yes I have a goat(s)........ I threw him out of the house tho. He was 2 days old when I got him, the "goat man" was going to kill him with a brick to the head. He is a male and unwanted, deemed a useless milk waster (Alpha: plug comment here).

So the goat of course ended up in the house with me. Simply too cold to leave him outside, we housebroke him (litter box), he slept in my bed until he was 6 months old.

He would want to go to bed at about 9 every night and would run to the bedroom door and bleat until I came to bed. He ate meals with us, Spaghetti is still his favorite.

He learned to open the frig door.... not funny! He would demand attention, he learned to pick up items and show them to you so you would chase him around. He lived with 6 dogs at the time and 2 cats indoors.

He got chucked outside at about 6 months after deciding to tap dance on tables and so forth. I got him 2 buddies for companions...... we all going hiking togehter........off leash of course. He understands about 30 words all together and has taught the other goats to respond to my requests.

So there you got it...... lots of stories involving him.... taking him shopping and people asking what breed of dog he was :lmao: His urge to go for car rides ect.......

Male goats do not stink if you neuter them. Of course he did not mind a warm bath. He still comes indoors for visits.......and no goats don't just eat anything but they love cigarettes...steal them right out of your pocket!

So that is the goat in a nutshell......

Tomorrow we have a newspaper coming to do the story on the Turkey....

The turkey is now a house resident.. She belongs to my husband...

And for those of you that think I live in a barn....... I wish I did! :D

We are neat freaks indoors and out.... I keep the paper towel industry and windex company cranking out product..... and the central vac is on more than off.

That was quite a story...very cute. I think goats are adorable. You're going to be mad at me but have you ever eaten goat? I love, love, love curried goat! Yum! I should put that on the favorite food thread.

And what about your husband's turkey...is she on the menu for Thanksgiving?

Ok, back to the goats. I never knew they were that smart. How did the goat "teach" the other goats to respond to your requests. And what kinds of things do you request from a goat!?:p

That was funny about people asking what kind of dog he is! Don't goats have horns? How do you confuse a goat with a dog?

I love your animal stories! Thanks for telling us about the goat!

No to goat meat ..... veggiesaurus myself...... husband is meatasaurus.

Goat 101. Goats are very smart.... so smart that they were in my front yard this morn! Goats a cross between a dog and a horse in personality, nuture is a big part of how they react to you. They are very loyal...

My goats are trained to come when called, move out of the way, load up into a car ect, the trio knows their names, hold the leg up for trimming, they do know attack as well but it is done by mauling people with attention, they can figure out just about any problem when it involves how to get to food, my goat knows that TV means come to sofa and sit watch TV. The list is very long and boring. However typing is not a skill they have mastered. Same trigger method is used. The other goats follow suit and I would suppose learn by association of word to action (like a younger child may follow a older one mimic behavior and learn word assoc.).

Yes goats can have horns and beards, both male or female.... it is a breed thing not gender. I do not dehorn goats, no need for it. 3 of our 5 do have horns. 2 are polled (born without horns)

The goat was mistaken for a dog because it was very young and most people are not used to seeing a goat in a store, car front seat, or stuffed in your jacket while shopping. They are born without horns.... I will post a avatar of da' goat in question later perhaps........not humping anything tho. Sorry.

Turkey is 1 of 3 that are pets. This Turkey was attacked by a chupacabra, so had to come indoors after loosing about 80% of her skin in the attack, surgery was required of course. She is recovering nicely. Her friend comes to the house to visit her.......... Turkeys are also a trip! Very messy tho...

She lives with the 6 dogs and 2 cats......chases the newest cat. Turkeys will also follow like dogs..... the turkey only knows what bed and dinner is.....so far......its only been 30 days of indoor fun..not much training time...she may learn to type?:D

At some point I will dig up the picture of the mini horse napping in my bed and post it as an avatar...... again sick and into the house he came.... and he would go to the door to use the bathroom. However I screwed him up very badly..... he has zero respect....an issue we are working on now.

I'm learning so much! I can't get over the goats and how smart they are. That's hilarious that they actually will sit and watch tv with you! Interesting about the turkeys too. Maybe you can answer some questions on this for me.

For the last 3 years we've had a pair of wild turkeys who hung around our property. We didn't see them in the winter. They'd appear in the spring and stay all summer and then we wouldn't see them again until the following spring. This year nothing. They just disappeared. We were disappointed. They never let us get near them but we enjoyed having them around and would throw out food for them. We always wondered if they were a "couple." Do turkeys travel as male/female pairs like that? Also, why do you think they didn't show up this year?

They probably got shot......... sorry..... I dont deal with wild turkeys so not much help. But male turkeys will fight over a female, we have tons of these here at our place...... the domestic turkeys we have to not seem to like the wild ones. (we have snobby turkeys I guess?).

The turkeys could have found a better food source, our wild turkeys are here year round. One Tom will service many hens.

Not much help on this but you can buy turkeys if you want them around. You would have to check with DNR regs ect.. in your area about this.

Very funny on the snobby turkeys and the NY turkeys!

Oh...I hope they didn't get killed. They were kind of sweet. Well this Tom must have been monogamous. It was always just the two of them.

By the way, our turkeys were from here (NC) and they said "Howdy gobble Yall gobble gobble!":p
