Look, I've lived all over so it's not a matter of NYC rubbing off on me. It's just that to me, Fridays represents dating in high school. Sit a booth and order cokes and chicken fingers. It's just not a very adult place for a first date. Unless the point is to eat fried food and drink blue margaritas the size of a suitcase.

I'm sorry, but a chain restaurant??? For a first date? Like a TGIFridays or Friendley's??? Wow, that's classy. Unless this person is in highschool, chain restaurants are NOT ok for a first date. I'm not saying Cipriani's but at least a quaint cafe or bistro. Something that doesn't have "buy one pitcher get one free" deals. Think middle of the road...not too fancy, not too cheap.

Did you not read the OP ??? he mentions that he met her in school.. so for someone in school to spend $100 on a first date dinner is ludicrous..

A dinner for 2 an Atlanta at Fridays with a couple of drinks would cost roughly 50 bucks.. What is wrong with that ??

The only high school kids i've seen in Fridays eating are with their parents.. High school kids can't afford 50 bucks for dinner.. they go to fast food joints
