umuc Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 so, my ex..who i haven't talked to in two months calls me yesterday. he hates leaving a voice mail so he usually just is silent and hangs up..that's how i know it's him... so, today i sent him a text message saying "i am not sure if this was you..but did you call me last night?...and he responds by saying..."i don't know". this is why i broke up with him...to many games..... so, instead of reacting negatively...i say "ok that's fine...it would be nice to talk to you..when you get a chance call me....i hope you and your family are doing well." he responds back saying "thanks"....how weird! can you possibly not know if you called someone? i have recieved this balnk message two weeks ago as well..also, my ex plays hard to get...
slubberdegullion Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Could be that he hit your speed dial number on his phone by mistake. That's happened to me before. If he's a game-player, why do you want to keep him in contact at all?
Author umuc Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 yes, that could be it...but hard to believe. he hasn't really done that in the past. i just want to be friends with him again..you know? fine we dated but things didn't work out...so, why not be friends...? he doesn't act normal though..like how friends should be with other friends..he kind of makes it difficult to be friends....
JS17 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I've got one of those too. They're really annoying. Don't contact with him or you'll keep going through this wondering and frustration. It's not worth it, he's not your friend because you wouldn't let your friends treat you this way. You'll get tired of it eventually.
Author umuc Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 you are right..that's why i ended it short and sweet...i think he does this stuff to get a reaction out of me...
JS17 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 No he does it to know that he still has a hold on you. EGO
Author umuc Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 what do you mean? what should i do in a situation as such?
JS17 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 He wants to know that he can still have you in one way or another if he wants. It's an ego boost to him. What you do is up to you. If you want to keep letting him jerk you around then continue talking to him. If you want peace in your life then stop talking to him. Don't separate his behavior from who he is in your mind.
Author umuc Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 ok..i will keep that in mind. thanks for your help! i can't believe the games people play..it's so sad. i am sitting here thinking we can be friends....
