loveheart59 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 I'm on a weight gain diet right now coz I got a bit skinny recently. I think some of you lot come from America, wondered if the pressure to be curvy is the same over there as it is in England. The magazines peddle the line that " men prefer bigger women " but ive noticed men dont tend to be that picky. If a girl walks down the street whos sexy and pretty it doesnh't particularly matter whether shes slim (like Cameron) or round like (Jennifer) THEY STILL LOOK!!! I think magazines manipulate women by going on about what type of body is wanted by men because they know we are sensitive about the subject. As long as a woman isnt obviously overweight or underweight I think guys are pretty flexible about who they like. Plus guys seem to have different preferences for girls they want to f**k and women they want to take home to the family so its hard to pin a particular look that "all men want" down! Me for one, I dont like overly muscley guys usually. And even girls who do, if they meet a guy whos got a different body shape they can still fall in love with them for who they are and what they look like....Amen
einahpets Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 got any good tricks for your "get curvy diet"? i lost some weight lately that hasn't been coming back as fast as i would like...
Hot Coco Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 You have to eat 5 to 6 times a day. I gained 10 pounds that way. Nuts, avocados, shakes...at least one fattening dessert a day (ice cream, chocolate)
Author loveheart59 Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 Yeh thats true, I eat 3 meals a day and 3 snacks. The weights coming back on quite fast this time! I also lift some weights or do squats 4 20 mins in the morning so I dont just put on flab, I get mucsle too.
nosybear819 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 When I was trying to gain weight I started eating foods that were higher in protein and I would have one of those protein bars with/for breakfast in the morning and sometimes later in the day as a snack. I also started a nice little workout and I started getting some nice muscle tone. I'm slim and always have been so i didn't really gain much weight-weight but people were definitely noticing that I was bulking up a bit. By the way if you're looking for a good protein bar I liked Met-Rx choc chip cookie dough mmmmmmmmmmm I think those are yummy I still eat them sometimes just for sh*ts and giggles...literally about the sh*ts part too
ThumbingMyWay Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I like curvy women.....Elisabeth Shue types....
Tangerina Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 oh jeez, I am jealous! I wish that trend would come here! I have no difficulties gaining weight... no one in my family does, so we all have to be extra careful and try to lose weight so we don't have heart problems..... sounds nice eating fattening desserts! Haha, yeah, my advice would be to eat 500 more calories per day than what you need... online calculators can tell you how much that is.... for a healthy rate of weight gain... eat fatty foods but with healthy fats and keep exercising but maybe focus on heavier weights
