No I didn't go through his phone, it's my phone I let him borrow and got back when he renewed his.

I found a notification that read " the woman has 24 hours to send a message".

When I clicked the notification it just sent me to the app store?

Is this a dating app notification?

Do you have reason to be suspicious that he's trying to install dating apps or access apps he's on while using your phone?  Isn't it a bit weird that he would use your phone to date other women? Ask him what's up with that.  What apps are on your phone? What app in the app store did it direct you to?

Sounds like the dating app Bumble.

Have you been on that app and received similar notifications?

And why's it popping up if the app isn't on the phone.

Unless it used the app, message went through and then deleted the app.

I had no suspicions.

What's access apps?

Yes it's weird, but some people are that bold.

It just directed me to recommend apps like banking, games. Didn't notice any dating apps could've missed it though. And I cleared notifications so I can't check again.

When I'm done working out I will check, his email is still signed on to the app.

Juicy potential. But you’d also be snooping. Not sure that’s a good idea.

plus he likely uses dating apps and is no longer bf material. Did I understand that correctly?

I've heard of lending people phones to make calls, but "borrowing" a phone all day? Seems a bit... odd.

You understood correctly.

His email is logged on the app store but it doesn't show apps previously downloaded.

Sorry to hear that. I might be missing some context on the online dating being a dealbreaker. I know I didn’t like it when I tried it. I’ve never considered it a dealbreaker in someone. What’s the reasoning behind this?

You mean you would not mind your boyfriend being on a dating app?

I think Glows meant people that use dating apps in general as a dealbreaker, same with OP.

(correct me if I'm wrong)

You mean like uses dating apps when they're supposedly in a relationship with you?  Or who would use them when single?  If the latter - why?

I don’t think that’s the case. Reading between the lines here. This OP’s posting style has always been slightly vague and without context or details. The majority of her threads are one offs or brief meets with guys she’s met at different venues. If he was her boyfriend I’m sure her reaction would not be “silly boy”. She’s hanging out with this guy potentially thinking he might be bf material but he’s shown he isn’t according to her standards (using dating apps in general are a dealbreaker for her). Is it the end of a potential romance or room for more? I’m curious what her reasoning for making the use of dating apps a dealbreaker in general. She doesn’t have to answer.

I don’t believe this is a boyfriend or committed relationship and she can clarify herself. This is posted in the dating forum which runs the gamut from seeing someone casually to whatever else people want it to be.
