Brokenheartedman12 Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 I figured I’d come back and share my story. About 6 years ago, I came here cause my first girlfriend and I split up. I was broken and hoped and read stories of couples getting back together hoping and wishing that it could happen for us. Well she evenutally found a man and I was dating around. I accepted this and we remained friends. She’d text me about the past and send me memes. We also helped each other get jobs. Basically no bad blood. We’ll fast forward 6 years. I have a great job and I’ve been dating this girl for almost a half a year now. She’s amazing and everything I hoped for in a significant other! Many come here hoping to get back with their ex and I really wanted that for a long while. I recently seen my ex is now engaged. I am generally happy for her. I will say the only feeling I have is kinda sadness/ happiness because well we’re all growing up. We’re growing up and because of dating our friendship we had before dating has kinda drifted and makes me wish I could have realized we weren’t compatible earlier in life. I wanted to come share that maybe you won’t get your ex back but you will find someone who is compatible to you! I use to spend hours and and days on here in broken. If you asked me 6 years ago if I’d be happy that my first love is marrying her true love and I’d be in love with someone else I would’ve probably say it wasn’t possible. what’s meant to be will be! 4 1

I thought I would never ever experience the kind of love I had with my ex and I secretly hoped for a full year that life would bring us back together. Then, I came across a man that blew me away with his many beautiful qualities. My motto has always been there is always something better waiting for us and it's up to us to make that better happen.
