Why do i feel unsure about the relationship from my side after a week after she left for work and travel?

So, to give some context, i am with my girlfriend for about 7 months but we know eachother for more than 8 years. We started reconecting and began to be the most beautiful relation that i had. I love her more than anything i didnt feel the same for anyone else before. We dedicated one for another

About a week ago, she left with work and travel for 4 months. I knew this day was coming but both tried to avoid it. In the first few days i cannot believe it that she left for real, i could not sleep, eat and cry most of the time and i was so scared. Now, suddenly, out of nowhere, after just one week, i feel like i just gonna give up because of the long time but i know deep down i dont want to, but this is how i feel. I feel unsure and insucere that this thing is not gonna work because of the distance and time zone. Why i feel this doubt and insecurity? I sincerely dont want to give up i love her so much and she s the one. I feel overwhelmed. It might be the brain answer to the hard and new experience?

Did you talk about having a long distance relationship until she gets back? Have you been able to stay in touch with her?

Or did you decide to take a break or break up when she left for her trip?

Are you considering dating others while she's away so you don't feel lonely?

You're talking like she has run off and left you for good.

She hasn't.

It's only 4 months and she will be back.

You're acting like it's some kind of big tragedy that she has gone away for work for a little while.

You say it's the most beautiful relationship either of you has ever had so why would you want to give up?

You seem very emotionally attached to her and greatly lack independence.

You need to be more independent and more grown up about her travelling for work for a short amount of time.

I'm guessing you have some anxiety or depression issues.  No judgement - I completely understand as I am that way myself and would also struggle in this situation.   

It can indeed be pretty tough when your person is gone for so long.  I can only send you empathy and support to do your best to ride it out.

I understand that this is hard but this, is a disproportionate response to your girlfriend travelling for a few months for work. If your anxiety affects you in this way, I would suggest that you see a doctor or get a counsellor.  

At the very least, find something to do! Go to the guy, get a beer with a friend, spend time with your parents, take up a new hobby that you’ve always wanted to try… find something to keep your mind occupied because when you have too much time, you start to overthink and that’s not good for your mental health.

Are you anxious she’s going to meet someone else? You mentioned distance and time zone. I think it’s natural to feel apprehensive. 

Have you both communicated this past week since she’s left?

Okay, So you are in a lovely relationship after knowing one another for 7 years.  Just because she is going for FOUR months, Doesn't mean you can't communicate and do cam and all while she is away.  Set up times that work and keep the fires Going and Flowing.  This is the TEST of Time that Mother nature is giving you both to see if you both can withstand this relationship while she is gone.  Focus on you as well.  I have been in  a few LDR myself and I am a pro.lol!!!
