Am I being pushed around or even manipulated?

My boyfriend wants to buy a place together. He really wanted to do so now but I told him I wasn't ready. he then asked will you be ready in about 9 or so months and I said I didn't know. It all depends on when I think the time is right.

Even though I told him this, he still wants to see houses with me. Why I ask? He says so we have an idea of what's out there. Really? I don't know how I'll feel or what I'll be up to next month much less next Spring.
This has been a sensitive topic since he keeps pushing me to live with him. I've been alone for a long time and it's a real jump for me (and risk as well as expense). I have my own place to live. He does expect me to help buy a place and that's another reason I need to be 100% sure I'm not being used.

I sort of feel I'm being "played" or it may be that he's just too pushy and/or doesn't respect my feelings. I've sort of had it with him with this whole idea, it's driving me crazy.

We care for each other and have a good time together but when he acts like this I just feel suffocated.

After being together for 2 years should I call it quits because I know he won't change at this point?

Unfortunately you're not happy, you sense he's exploiting you and your adult children have already warned you about him. You're both senior citizens? Keep your home, stop visiting him. Have you stopped paying half  his rent?
