I never was into Dr.Phil before I got separated, now I have read his books and listened to some cd he's got and I find his approach and advice very helpful. What do you think of the guy?

At one point I thouht he was pretty decent, and now I am not so sure. When I was going through my divorce, I had an appointment set for my wife and I with him and she refused to go, so we never flew to Dallas. But I think his advice is pretty right on. Look out for yourself.

Actually when I called, I was told that he was (my words) too much of a big shot now that Oprah has him on and he does not see patients any longer. Not taking no for an answer and realizing that there are 6 degrees of separation...I called a friend in Dallas whose parents were friends of Doctor Phil's neighbor.

I haven't read any of his books but if they are anything like his TV show I'd steer clear of him. Only an entertainer could solve a couples long standing challenges in 15 minutes (including commercial breaks).
