Bigshooter Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Hello all, I'm an 18 year old male and I have worked at my job as a grocery stocker for 2 years. Recently a girl started up as a cashier at the same place and I'm trying to figure out if she's interested in me or not. I never used to talk to her but lately we have quite a bit. She teases me alot in a joking way, touches me and makes direct eye contact. She complimented my "strong muscles" by squeezing my arm and then insisted I feel her biceps haha, she jokingly punches me alot and pushes me around. One thing I've read alot is that if a woman likes you she will be nervous, however this girl seems very confident in herself so I think shes maybe just a flirting girl with everyone. I dunno, I just picked up on the eye contact and physical touching alot so I wondered. I was going to ask her out to coffee as she was leaving work today but I froze, I'm not really shy but sensitive and scared of being rejected. I do find her quite attracitve and just thought maybe this was too good to be true. Anyones opinion on the matter would be appreciated.
quankanne Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 people generally tend to keep others at an arm's length distance, a psychological distance or territory thing, no matter HOW much they like them. That your co-worker is bridging that space says volumes (to me, at least) that she's more than a little interested in you. I say go for the gold, and invite her out for coffee and a piece of pie. On the bright side, you'll have spent an enjoyable hour with someone you get along with. On the WAY bright side, you may have found yourself with someone interested in a deeper relationship with you. Don't look at it from the view of a possible rejection, but as possible missed opportunity if you don't ask her. You know? best of luck ....
Author Bigshooter Posted October 31, 2005 Author Posted October 31, 2005 Well thank you, I never really thought of it that way, I've kind of been waiting for a good opportunity to arise so perhaps this is it. I just kind of get ahead of myself and tend to worry about the bad side of things, thankyou for your opinion and advice.
