My bf got kicked off of light duty at work, he got injured awhile back, and got sent home to wait til his doctor released him to go back to work. This was 3 and half weeks ago. Just last Saturday, he decides he wants to go back and visit his family during this time off. No problem , understandable but all the bills are due right now. And bills that are already past due because of his light duty not giving him full pay and well now he doesnt even get workman's comp. Thing too is that he says he's coming back but he wants to take his improtant papers, (like birth certificate , and etc) with him when he goes on a Greyhound no less. Stuff if you were in your right mind you would just leave at home so they wouldnt get lost or stolen. The other thing too was that he bought a one way ticket there and his dad supposedily bought him a one way ticket back. Well the other day my parents offered to pay for my round trip ticket to go with him so i could meet his family and he threw a hissy fit. We've been fighting ever since. So what's your opinions on this? Do you think the guy is leaving and just doesnt have the balls to say its over, or going to go hook up with someone else? Or both? I mean, from the way i see it, if your girlfriend had the chance to go with you and you didnt have to foot the bill you would be more then excited. Too, he maxed out his cheap , crap credit card to pay for rent before he left and pay something on the phone so it wouldnt get shut off right away. Keeps telling me that should prove to me that he's coming back, oh yeah, leaving his cheap emachines computer here too that he bought back in February 2005. Talking this over with family and friends they think he's ending it and just did what he did so he wouldnt feel guilty and doesnt plan on coming back. But these are ppl that dont like him in the first place so i dont know what to think here. If you had the situation happen to you before , or even have a basic understanding really of the situation please let me know what you think. Sometimes the opinions of strangers help clarify the situation better. Too get rid of the mind fog that family and friends can put up. Thanks
seachange Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Yes, this sounds very fishy to me. But without knowing your history - like, why he might want to suddenly take off like that - it's hard to say for sure. But from this info, it sure sounds like he's leaving for good.

But when he gets to his destination and if he doesn't call you I would call him and just see what is up...because I'm sure if he is leaving than he'll have all sorts of strength when he's all those miles away on a phone...lol

Its not like i am a mass murderer or anything and i am going to hurt him if he goes but holy cow, i dont like to be left in the dark either. He destroyed a relationship to be with me , he wouldnt let up on me at all finally i got with him after two years of the b/s and he moves up here for 8 months and he's ready to go visit his parents.... but anyway thanks guys and gals.

That should say alot about his character right there, so its probably no big surprise hes either skipping town to go stay with his folks or for someone else. The biggest thing that stuck out to me was when you said he threw a hissy fit because you wanted to go too. Redflag! Jade
