I "met" this guy (Rich) on cupid.com. We haven't met in person at all yet, but have talked on the phone briefly maybe a half-dozen times. This morning he sent me a text msg that said: "Haven't even met you; yet I miss you." This afternoon he sends me an email that said: "I have a 'pang' to be with you sharing your experience. (I'm out of state on business!) There's just something special about you and I think that's a good thing." Then he leaves me a voicemail on my cell that said he hopes my day is going well, that he misses my voice and that he can't wait to hear from me again. Did I mention that we have NOT met in person at all yet??

 

Personally, I'm very overwhelmed by all this attention from a man, who, at this point, is COMPLETE STRANGER!

 

What's going on here? Is he just feeding me lines thinking I'll fall for his "attentiveness"? Is he desperate for a relationship/my attention? Does he honestly think I don't find all this attention a little strange from a man who hasn't even met me?? I mean, how can you miss someone you haven't even MET??? I have NO feelings for him. I certainly don't miss him.

 

Guys/Gals....what is going on here?

My mom was dating a guy (well, she's seen him few times), and he was so clingy that he carried her to the bathroom(!) because he wanted to show her how much he loves her (!). And that's just one of his oopses.

When she talks about him now, she calls him a puppy dog. Probably because she forgot his name as soon as he picked her up to carry her to pee:lmao:

 

So unless you wanna be carried to the bathroom and supervised, you might be better off running like crazy.;)

I'm running!!!! Now that I think about it, he's been very patronizing on the phone, kind of treating me like I'm inferior. Man, I'm glad I paid attention to the RED FLAGS before I wasted my time meeting him!!! Thanks for your advice.
