Hey all,

I guess I'm just looking for some wise words, sympathy, and maybe a bit of tough love.

Got divorced around a decade ago after a terrible marriage. I am totally over my ex, and have no wishes to rekindle the relationship. I have no wishes to see him unhappy either. However, he's getting married tomorrow, whereas I find myself single after a horrible break up from my fiance, who is an alcoholic and drug addict.

I guess it just hits home that I'm still no good at relationships, and still alone.

Sorry this is happening. It always stings to hear news like this about any ex. Do you have children? How old is he?

You're fine since you had the wherewithal to end a toxic marriage and end an even more toxic relationship.

Luckily, people can get better at relationships and pick better partners. You can learn from your mistakes. Onwards and upwards!

No kids, thank God, He's 39.

Thank you for your message. I needed it, and it helped! :)

That’s fine. Congratulate him and keep doing you. Thankfully you are not in any toxic relationship now. Take good care of yourself. Don’t worry about him.
