Complicated-ish story

My hallway crush, lets say his name is Steve. He's a junior. I'm a sophomore. My friend's friend likes him too. But he tried setting her up with another guy, so we're pretty sure he doesn't like her. I don't have a phone because my dad is strict. However i do have instagram. Also, Steve is awkward when it comes to talking to girls.

He was walking in front of me one day afterschool, a couple days ago. His friend catches up to him. Like 15 seconds later, as we started walking in different directions, his friend says "Hey, hey you!" I look over at him and hes looking at me and the friend says "My friend here thinks you're cute. Can he get your snap?" Meanwhile Steve looks really uncomfortable and like "Ackk no, wtf r u doingg" look directed at his friend. Then I said "Sorry, I don't have snap." And I was about to offer my instagram but Steve then said something like "Nah thats fine" Then we all walked away....

The next day, I was walking through the halls and he was behind me. My friend calls my name from behind me so I turn around. Apparently, he was walking really close because we kind of bumped chests and looked into each others eyes~

Then since then we've been making a lot of eye contact for like multiple seconds in the hallways at lunch and stuff. One time I smiled at him and he just looked away. But then the same day, my friend was waiting for me outside the classroom. They made eye contact but then he just looked down at his phone and smiled.

So then that night, I looked through his instagram highlights and didnt realize he added a new one from that day to his highlights. I ended up watching it on accident. And then since he can see I was lurking, I followed him so I dont look as suspicious.

The following day/today I replied to that same story saying "heyy" because my friends convinced me to.

You know what, don't worry about it. The best way is to act like nothing happened and carry on.

Chat with him at school whenever you get the chance. No biggie. Agree with Smackie. Carry on and don’t worry about it.
