Sometimes I like to go downtown to read a book, eat lunch at a cafe or sit in the park. Lots of things to do in this vibrant part of town. Do you have any place like that near you? It’s definitely a way to ‘treat yourself.’ The adventure you'll have on the other side of going on your own can be terrifying at first - but you never know what you'll discover. 1

You don't have to go places alone. It can actually magnify your loneliness. However you can join clubs, groups, volunteer, take courses and classes and plan situations where you are in regular contact with people.

However, there are countless men out there, good men at that, who crave a decent woman with whom they can have a fulfilling, long-term relationship. The only thing I can suggest is keep trying, don't give up and don't become to jaded and negative, because it will affect your behavior and how attractive you appear to potential suitors. 3
