Hi

So I was dating a woman (38) and she after a few weeks decided that it wasn't going to go anywhere. Now what through me was, even though comments she made about me meeting her family etc and I'm one of the best men she's ever met, she turned round and said "I'm an alpha female, I need an alpha male with a big character" I've never heard anyone from either sex say this about themselves and it threw me. Any advice on this please.

Don't try to analyze it. People find all kinds of reasons when they're not feeling it. It was just a few dates and she recognized right away she needs another type of personality. Be thankful she did not waste 2-3 months before figuring it out.

So logically, how could she know after only a handful of dates that you were the best man she's ever met? It's not logic right?  So when women come up with statement like this after a few dates just dismiss it. It's not worth anything

What advice do you need? She came up with a reason it wasn’t working but it sounded a bit obnoxious. Is this someone you wish you’d had more time dating? Be glad she’s gone.

Similar to Expat, I’ve also read this story before.
