Hi all, i'm new to these forums.

I'm 24 years old and i've been with a 31 year old woman for about 6 months now. We met at my work when she was still with her ex boyfriend (with whom she has 2 children with), who also works there. At first we just meant it to be a little fling, but it turned out to be much more than that. It's been a tough relationship, alot has happened with us (details i won't quite get into). She is actually the first girlfriend i've ever had and the first person i've had sex with.

The thing is, she really wants us to get married and for me to make a commitment and has expressed this several times in the past 3 months or so. I really do love her, but i'm not sure if i'm ready for that. I've told her this before and i know it really hurts her. A couple days ago she told me that she couldn't wait for me anymore, and that either i propose to her or our relationship has to be over and that she has to move on with her life. I said that i wasn't ready to do that, and she said it was over.

I'm really not sure what to do, i really don't want to lose her but i don't think i'm ready this. I can honestly see it happening and the more time i spend with her and her children the more i could see myself doing this, but to me it's further down the road.

If anybody wants to comment please do.

no one needs pressure on getting married, especially at 24 mate.

if you have doubts then chances are they will become problems later down the road.

your 24, this is your first love.... move on if she can't wait for you. it will be hard but it has to be hurting you that your getting pressured into proposing. that kinda stuff should come natural and you shouldn't be told to do it.

"she couldn't wait for me anymore"

that's ridiculous, you've only been dating for 6 months!

if she loves you, she'd wait as long as it takes . . .
