I matched with a woman on OLD and we had a nice date, talked for a few hours and made out a little just before we parted ways. She added me on IG and we have a second date set up. She is Russian and she moved to my city only 11 months ago. The problem is, looking at her IG, I spotted that she is wearing a wedding ring as recently as 3 months ago, altho not in more recent photos and not during the date. Should I ask her about this, or wait to see if she brings it up? I assume she is single if she's on OLD, but I don't really want to get involved with someone who is technically still married.

Just ask in a casual manner..."so were you ever married, kids?" It's not unusual to ask.

Yes, ask. Don’t assume everyone is available or single.

It’s not rude to ask in the way Smackie described. I wouldn’t comment on her photos online.

Yes. Ask if rings on that finger/hand are have significance in her culture.

It's one date. Do you like her otherwise?  It's odd she added you to IG after one date, no?

I would never comment on her photos online - would only bring it up in person, and casually. It's only one date but we have a second arranged. Although, she just sent me a picture of a positive covid test so we have to postpone. A bit up in the air.... Nevermind!

In some countries, you wear your wedding ring on the left hand, in others on the right hand. You can google it. Not sure about Russia. I wear jewelry/rings on whatever finger/hand I want to. Doesn’t mean a thing. I’m currently single.

In a number of European countries, including the Ukraine and Russia, wedding rings worn on the right ring finger. So, rings worn on the left would indicate they are single. I would just bring it up casually.
