I personally don't know any women who like receiving these from complete strangers.

I know a few and have read posts from men saying that once they started uploading shirtless pics to their profile, their messages increased significantly.  So some like, some don't.  Probably the same women who send half nude bikini shots (or full nudes) to random men would like assuming the man had a great physique and had something to show off!!  lol

@CalipsoRoseWhat do you want your involvement with this individual to be?

This isn't a shirtless pic.

It's a full body picture of a man covering his genitals.

It doesn't make him gross or yucky.

If you're looking to date seriously, I don't think he's your guy.

To clarify, the picture showed the side of his bootie, so it wasn't just a shirtless pic of him with a towel around his waist - it was him using the towel to only cover his member and everything else was visible. I wasn't offended by it, honestly I dont know how to feel about it. Neither good nor bad. Just, "Huh. Interesting."  He's the only guy I would want to date right now IF I were in the mood to actually date anyone. But yeah I'm worried it means he just wants casual.

[ ] Usually individuals will ask if such pictures are welcome but if he didn't check with you first, it can be interpreted as unsolicited and disrespectful to you. You can decide how this went about and how you feel about it and block/delete if he's not worth the hassle.

Okay, thanks for clarifying CalipsoRose, my bad for assuming!  Yikes.

He's seeing a distinct lack of interest from you since you've been chatting for weeks, haven't met him, and don't seem particularly keen on doing so any time soon. He's showing off to amp up your interest level and get a date.

And he is pretty clueless (especially given what she conveyed to him) if he thinks that will work on most, unless they are all about the hook-up.   Kind of shows what he is all about.

It means sex first and connection second.  So yes he will want to start casual, and it will be only casual until it is not, but who knows what he will say.

As far as pics, unfortunately since you told him you feel too damaged to date right now, he may have put you in the "ok for sexting" pile.

I'd say bingo on this....he figures, "Well, if she's refusing to meet me, maybe I can get something going with her cyber-wise". Of course, not sure why you're giving your contact information when you're not ready to date....so....hmmm.

To be frank, I'm at an age where this is neither entertaining nor offensive. It would be deleted after some unapologetic inspection. Most importantly I would not carry on talking to someone longer than 2-3 days without meeting face to face. You're inviting these kinds of behaviours if you seem unsure or not confident enough to date.

Right...sometimes you only hear part of the story when women complain about guys start sexualizing the conversation....when it's really been enabled.

To me it means he has no respect for you and either you are down for sex or not because that is all he sees you as a future sex partner.

No, but I posted a picture of myself on Instagram yesterday and he messaged me with a hammer emoji. I replied, "Hammer?" and he said "You could get the hammer."

What does that mean?? I'm assuming its a sexual innuendo? Never heard that before. Maybe I'm old now with new lingo. I didn't respond. Not an appropriate response to a nice picture of me in a dress just standing in my kitchen.

Why haven't you deleted and blocked this 🤡 clown?

He's a timewaster. Cut your losses and invest in more viable dating candidates.

I know.  Is he saying he wants to give you The Hammer?  Not good and very disrespectful.

Of course it's sexual. And disgusting. Adjust the settings on your social media and make your photos or posts private.

it means "banging" and he's then taking advantage of the double entendre built into that response (the hammer).

I haven't read the entire thread, but no guy who is actually seriously looking for anything long term and forever lasting is going to send a woman nudes. Period.

All of this.

You don't even know this person, OP. He shouldn't be able to see your social media.

It means something far worse than banging.

This is a guy that has no clue! Total rookie move. Be done with this guy.  As a man I would never have pulled that move
