So I saw a post similar to this on a different site and decided to create something similar. In my opinion, every dude who is dating should have the following stocked at their place. If you're one such dude and find yourself missing any of the items, consider yourself put on notice. The women in your future life will greatly appreciate it. Under the right circumstances, you may be elevated to  Clooney-like status if you can save the day. Yes you too can become infinitely more sexy simply by have the absolute minimum at your house.

  1. Brand new toothbrush - in box/wrapper
  2. Tampons and pads: you're not stocking up for the apocalypse, just get a few from a standard brand
  3. A clean relatively new washcloth. Have it folded for mad style points
  4. An empty contacts case and saline solution
  5. A new hairbrush because this apparently matters
  6. One clean oversized hoodie free of any stains or organic matter or offensive graphic. Said hoodie may disappear later the next morning so don't be too attached to it
  7. A pack of condoms - duh

Extra Credit: Some sort of facial cleanser stuff. Just go to a CVS or Walgreens and ask any woman you see to hook you up with a decent facial cleanser. I'm a dude, I have no clue as to how it differs from Irish Spring but apparently it does and it matters. Pretend like you use it yourself and you'll score additional perceived sophistication points.

Feel free to add if I left anything off the list.

In a relationship, yes, otherwise, I would find that seriously a turn off and wonder how many women are wandering through buddys place.

Clean sheets - no holes or tears.

Extra bed pillow or two

Water based lube, especially if she is an older woman.

Hair conditioner in addition to a nice quality hair shampoo.

Bottle of Tequila!!

Good addition. As a dude with a shaved head my hair care products consist of a razor and the aforementioned bar of Irish Spring. Lol!

Nope.  It's too much & kinds screams "player."

Clean sheets, towels & wash cloth sure.  That's basic hygiene.  Extra toothbrush fine.  I don't know about anybody else but my dentist gives them out so there are always new toothbrushes in my cabinet.

Condoms & lube are just common sense.

If the guy doesn't wear contacts, but had a contact case for me or had tampons without a female roommate, nope, that telegraphs that he has lots of ONS & is prepared for all sorts of transient women to meander through his life.

Once an exclusive relationship is established having those little extras for me / a specific partner is a lovely gesture.  The same way I would expect to find my favorite wine at his house.

I can see why a guy might imagine this is considerate, but add me to the list of women who'd find some of this off putting.

If you regularly keep your bed clean, your place tidy, have condoms and lube and extra free toothbrushes from the dentist, this a good level of presentation.  The guy will be seen as housetrained but not a player.

It kind of seems a little "Dexter-ish."

Just some nice Charmin toilet paper.

None of that scratchy toilet paper stuff.

As a woman I would seriously question how often is he doing this. How many women go in and out of his apartment so that he needs hotel level supplies? One thing is to have a one night stand in the heat of the moment but this level of calculation gives a weird vibe.

For a girlfriend yes, it’s a nice gesture to have something. Even then usually women have their own preferences about cosmetics and clothes.

Agree. Women would most likely be turned off by a guy who has a supply of tampax, hairbrushes, toothbrushes, etc. handy.

Focus on other things. Neat, clean, smells nice, stocked refrigerator, make coffee, candles, nice decor, comfortable surroundings, spotless bathroom, etc.

If you have unplanned hook-ups she can always borrow a robe or figure out on her own how to groom.

I agree with this 100%.

After my D... I bought condoms.

Clean sheets, and folded washcloths in the linen closet, would be just "being an adult." (right?)

I always have new toothbrushes around because kids drop them, and I use them in the garage. (probably have 10 cheap ones in the linen closet at the moment)

I happen to have some feminine hygiene products in the house, because I have a teen daughter who needs them.  But to keep them in stock as a bachelor... and to have a contact case with saline when I don't need them..... Yep... that screams "Player"  Not to mention... if' it's my responsibility to have condoms... then it's the girls job to have any feminine/personal products she may need.

A clean hoodie.... sure.  Here again... that's being an adult.  But it shouldn't disappear. If the date didn't work out... then she wasn't coming home with me.

And finally... a NEW hair brush?  Really?  Give me a break.  A girl isn't going to want a cheap one... and they can be expensive to keep a "New" one around for each overnight date.  (That's just stupid)  But seriously... I understand a new-ish, and clean brush that she can use would be nice.

OP... With all that said... I understand that your list makes it easier for the girl... but I was even questioned by my current GF when we had our first "Overnight" date about having a selection of new toothbrushes for her.  That alone was saying "Player" to her.

That's funny. Recently there was an ad asking for donations to womens homeless shelters. All the items listed were on there except 7
