Yungstagurl Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 How would you define or describe a romantic connection, especially vs a sexual connection??
spiderowl Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 That's a really difficult one, Yungstagurl, because people will interpret these things in different ways. For me, a romantic connection is where we are attracted to each other and interested in each other as people. A sexual attraction is part of it but the essence of it is that we really enjoy each other's company and miss each other. A sexual connection can be a great experience but if you are not matched on other levels too, emotional, philosophical, with similar values, it will most likely fizzle out. 2
Uruktopi Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 I know quite well that there may be sexual connection without a romantic one. Even so, I can´t imagine a romatic connection without also mutual sexual desire. Dualism is not my cup of coffee. 1
glows Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 If it gets to a romantic interest for me there also is sexual interest. I overlook purely sexual interests as they’re fleeting or uninteresting after a short while. 1
Miss Spider Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 You want to sleep with both. You only want to wake up next to one 1
Els Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 To me a romantic connection is emotional, and a sexual connection is... well, sexual. One gives me warm fuzzy feelings and the other makes me wet. I learned early on that I need both.
