You 100% can. I have delivery receipts on my text messages. From 2 different operators on 2 different countries.  I can see if a message has been delivered or not. If it hasn't and isn't for a period of time, I assume block. And if you call, it goes to voice mail. Again... people can DEFINITELY tell.

What do you mean delivery receipts? I don’t have my read receipts turned on. Do you mean you call your provider and find out? I really doubt most are going to go through all that

No. I mean in the settings of your messages there's an option to turn on delivery receipts. When you do that, once you send an SMS/Text message, as soon as the recipient receives it, you receive a notification about it. It's not a read receipt. It's a delivery receipt. If I send you a text, I get a notification of whether you have received it or not.

On my Samsung smart phone it's in Message settings/ More Settings / Text Messages. This is definitely a thing.

I have iPhone. I didn’t turn on anything. I just got the phone and used it.
if people can see that I blocked them on there you need to tell me right now?

It's not you who have to turn it on.

If I sent you a text RIGHT NOW, I'd be able to tell if you'd received it or not. Because *I* have my delivery receipts turned on. So if we were texting and suddenly my texts stpped going through I might think your phone died or you had no signal. But if that went on for a while, then I'd figure out you had blocked me.

Think of it as the whatsapp ticks. 1 tick for sent, 2 ticks for delivered. I can see whether it's 1 tick only or 2 ticks. even on text messages.

I blocked him after I told him to just forget it. I don't know, maybe I was too harsh and acted irrationally but I wasn't at a very good place mentally yesterday after he rescheduled a second time. Somehow that triggered a very bad reaction and I ended up crying on my friend's shoulder for a while about how guys keep on canceling on me the very last minute and how I cannot find anybody to date.

I think in this instance being too harsh may have been a good thing.

If the men you are meeting have a tendency to cancel on you then you definitely need to raise the bar a bit, which from the sounds of it, you did.

It's a bit different if you have been dating a while and you are both running late.

Anyway - I hope you are feeling a bit better!

Sounds like he's meeting a bunch of women, overbooks and the appointment before yours ran overtime.

It's good to get the flakes out of the way early.❄️
