elaine567 Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 This is a gf of a few months, not the love of his life. Is it really worth upsetting his parents and his wider family over this? She is only 21, the chances of this lasting till even Xmas is unlikely... Throwing a gathering for a son who doesn't bother to show up is a hurt his parents are not going to get over in a hurry. It may be the last gathering for him they ever organise... 3
Els Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 You can't just invite someone to your parents' house without them issuing the invitation, for obvious reasons... If you want them to meet your gf you would be better off arranging a separate meeting at a separate venue (preferably one that you are paying for yourself) and inviting them instead.
