You paint with too broad a brush. Lots of single people go to bars, grocery stores, gyms, etc, and they're open to meeting new people, many of them are looking for relationships too, and many couples have met that way.

So WHAT if a handful of them are bothered, annoyed, uninterested or turn the other cheek.

You've lost nothing by trying and you've lost everything by letting fear of rejection rule your life.

No they don't. Maybe you do, but the gym specifically people are going to to work out and get fit. That's it. Not to find dates.

Not everywhere is a free for all to hit on women.

So what if you make a woman uncomfortable? Have some respect.

This is a really poor, self defeatest, presumptive attitude. Women go to the grocery store to shop for food, not to get dates. They go lots of other places too, with intent other than to meet a guy, but you know what? Chance encounters happen and lots of people conect from these types of situations.

There are lots of single women out there who don't mind being approached if it's done respectfully, not obsessively and while maintaining proper boundaries. Some may even see it as a compliment.
