NC during short relationships

Hi everyone,

So been dating this Man for 4 months. He started talking babies, engagement rings all during the first month of seeing each other. I got intimate with him on the 5th date because the chemistry was just something I didn't feel for years with other Men. Everything was great during those 3 months until he started pulling away the 4th month and finally dumping me.  He told me he doesn't see marriage in his future and didn't want to lead me on. I am disappointed this is how it turned out. He just told me he is my friend at the end. I'm wondering if No contact works for such a short relationship.  Will he come back eventually? Supposedly they all come back.
