ext time something like this happens, simply tell her you will be on vacay for the next week, no need to tell her where, and will plan something fun when you return

Any woman with high or even medium interest will be cool with that.

Whatever my level of interest, Immediate dump, = shady, up to no good, something to hide...
If a man cannot just be open about where he is going on holiday, then why bother?
It is not as if it is a huge personal secret that needs to be kept, surely?
Any woman who would tolerate that level of disrespect and dismissal, deserves all she would get..

After one meet?

Ok, I respect your opinion elaine, but please don't insinuate I dont respect myself because I don't have, imo, unrealistic expectations after one meet, including being made a priority.

He is certainly not a priority for me after one meet, why should I be for him?

Because he is a man and therefore supposed to chase me?  To win my affection and approval?

I have tons of self respect and the men I date respect me as well, including the man I am dating now and all my past boyfriends.

You and I have a difference of opinion, that's all.

And I respect that.

EDIT:  I DO agree with you re one thing.  HE had very low interest in her too.

No one's fault, despite a decent first meet, it just wasn't happening.  For either of them.

Next.

It is not about ONE MEET if about a level of openness that is lacking.
A guy that has to lie to you by omission about his holiday is not straightforward and that is a bad sign.

Ok that's a fair point but on the other hand, what gives her the right to know after one meet?   She's not his girlfriend, they are not even dating.

That said, although he is under no obligation to tell her after one meet, it shouldn't be hidden either, like it's a big secret.

It's typically something mentioned in the normal course of conversation with anyone, even a friend.

But as I said and again JMO, the level of interest on both sides was low, so this wasn't gonna go anywhere regardless.

From reading his other threads, OP has a serious gambling addiction which will always be first priority over anything including doing what it takes to connect with a new woman.

I just dont think, in this case, it's all on him, her interest was never that high to begin with.

Nor his, obviously.

I have a feeling is that the vacation killed any chance of this going anywhere. She reached out but she got nothing back. He was in fact living 10 minutes away from her yet he couldn't be bothered even meeting her for a coffee. He basically snubbed her and it didn't get any better...

You could be right, it's hard to know for sure what killed it, assuming it was there in the first place.

OP does appear to have a rather aloof attitude towards women and dating in general, which some women may initially find alluring but after a bit, are like fukk it.

May be what happened here, who knows.

In any event, unless and until he gets a handle on the gambling, which is screwing with his thought processes, I don't envision anything working out for him.
