Curious person Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 What are your thoughts if someone was dating someone on a game and then gets together in rl with someone else that also played that game. Neither of the people in the relationship go on the game anymore but one asks the other to remove the relationship status on that game to make them feel better do you keep the relationship on the game or do you get rid of it?

I'd be upset if someone I was dating wanted to hide that fact from any part of the world. Why does this person want the relationship status removed? The reasons would affect my decision to comply with the removal vs. make it true -- meaning break up with the person so there would be no need to have relationship status in the game because we'd be done.

I would see zero issue with removing a relationship status from a game. However, I also would not consider game-relationships as "dating" to begin with, so my perspective is going to be very different from someone who believe they're real relationships. Regardless, if they are in a relationship in real life, yes, they should remove any indication that they are romantically connected to anyone else.
