Betty-N-Jeremy Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 (edited) 3 years ago when I was 68, I went out on to dinner with my condo neighbor who was 29 at the time. He has been a wonderful neighbor, often helping me out and just being a good kid. I am a classy woman and would never think of dating anyone more than 5 years younger. To make a long story short, it was a fantastic evening, we first kissed at the dinner table and eventually spent the nite together. We are now married and a very happy couple with a 39 year age gap. He is way better than my ex and my daughter, who is older than my husband by more than 10 years, has come to accept it. So I say go for it, I can tell you from first hand experience, an age gap relationship is truly special. I am so fortunate to be with such a wonderful younger man, I wouldn't trade it for the world. This^ 100% and then some! Don't get why some folks are so uptight about this... There are men 47 or even 57 who act like teenyboppers, and men 27 who are mature, driven and wise beyond years. Same holds true for women. Age is just a number, it's about energy, how well you vibe, compatibility and values. Screw what 'society' thinks! Society shouldn't be a factor in how two people choose to engage each other, imho.. We get ONE life on Earth, live to the fullest without arbitrary restrictions such as age, race, skin color, religion. I think everyone would be a lot happier this way, feel more open and free to love. Truly love. Changing subjects for a second, welcome back Gaeta! You were missed! Kai_Kai Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Go for it. My boyfriend have had rocky beginnings because of fear of what others may think and we have a pretty big age gap between us. Don't let society tell you what is acceptable or not. It may be awkward because of the whole familiarity with her family, but it could also play well in your favor. Who knows. Sometimes you have to jump in the deep end to realize it's not that deep.
