I shouldn't complain i just read a thread about a guy whose never dated in his life. But i've had some personal issues and mental issues in my life (anxiety, depression, OCD) so i haven't had that many experienes with women and girls.

Then I did manage to get a girlfriend when i was 24, i met her off a dating app.

She was cute, fun but had some issues herself. Funny how likes attract likes? But anyway I was totally infatuated with her... totally in love (lol). I thought she was the greatest thing ever. My first relationship. great sex, cuddling, buying each other gifts, sending good night texts, i felt like i was 15 years old. 😂😂😂. I loved every minute being with her. We went out for 8 months before she brutally dropped me / cheated on me and moved on a week later.. the warning signs were there but I ignored them. I was completely devestated. I'd never felt such pain. My chest/heart hurt so much I even lost my job. I couldn't function.  Obviously I learnt a lot from it. I also realised that I think I more missed the 'idea' of her then her herself. The idea of having a girlfriend and being in love then the reality (she wasn't all that great).

But that was 2 years ago. After the break up I was back on dating apps and had sex with some girls as my friends told me i need to do this to get over my ex but TBH it didn't really help.

Then covid hit and everything got shut down.

I haven't dated or been close to a women for a long time. I walked passed a cinema the other day and was thinking back to the time i would go to the movies with my ex and how fun it was  and felt a touch of sadness.

I'm on dating apps but i barely get matches. I go to bars sometimes but don't get much luck. I don't really knw what to do. Sometimes i get a bit lonely and miss dating but other times i don't care. Dating just seems like such a hastle now. Swiping through tonnes of dating apps, trying to find someone, then when you do meet what are the chances of having chemistry ? i just feel like giving up.

Yes.....it’s normal as a single person during Covid with limited social interaction.
