Herkamer Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 Okay, let me set this up to give context. I dated someone back late summer-early fall in 2020. We had a good time, but the woman I dated got cold feet (for a long story made short). During that time I dated this woman, another one entered the place I work at (I work at a doctor’s office as an optician, which I work with glasses). The woman I dated the time was cute and we got along well enough. However, this other one was prettier, nicer, and we share many more of the same values than this other woman I dated. But, like the idiot I am, I practically wrote the patient off for the time being, as I was in a committed relationship. When the woman I dated and I broke it off, this woman who was our patient came back in and we talked for awhile. I became very interested in her. But after that day she came in, I haven’t seen her for while, until this past December. Being a Christian and trying to find things to do during a pandemic, I decided that I wanted to try to find a place to go to with people I could connect with. To my surprise, I ran into this woman again and found out that she is the daughter of the head pastor of this church I’m attending on Sundays in the evening. It took us awhile (because I was somewhat shy with her, even though I consider myself outgoing with people) but we recently started talking before the service this past Sunday. I’m hoping to catch up with her a bit more, but not force myself onto her. What I know is she is single, never been married, very nice, we share many of the same values and beliefs, she’s into music at her place of employment (like a music teacher), no kids, and my age. Any advice on how to court her? And if she becomes interested, how would I go about dating her? The other woman I dated for around, after her sister told me about her love history, while this woman (the pastor’s daughter) is a lot more reserved and easier to get along with. I have no doubt I’ll have a few slip ups (the last one I did), but just to make it easier, how would I proceed? Thanks!
Trail Blazer Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 If you're a Christian then you'll believe that it's part of God's divine plan that you either date her or don't date her. Since your destiny is already set, just do whatever feels right and you'll fulfill that destiny. Whether that works out with this girl, or the next, "God only knows"
cleverusername Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 (edited) Don't date a patient. If you date her, no matter how long, she can no longer see you professionally. Full stop. As long as you're ok with that, strike up a conversation with her at church and ask her if she wants to grab coffee or brunch or something after. Thats what i'd do.
