Well, this looks rather disturbing if you're immunocompromised...from what I got from it, it appears these types of patients tend to be breeding grounds for the Covid variants

I read something similar, and have heard similar theories from virologist friends. I don’t know the context of the U.K. or Brazilian variants, but this hypothesis seems quite likely in the SA context where the prevalence of TB and HIV would provide many such “patient 0”s for new variants, I’m sure.
