It depends.  If you are known as Bennifer or Brangelina then that indicates a level of power.  True, they are applied to celebrities and that's how that particular started, but if you are so beautiful or charismatic or whatever else that people notice it, maybe you could have that apply to you.

Calling each other terms of endearment (honey, sweetheart, etc.)?  It's not annoying.  If anything it's sweet or cute, but there is a fine line between that and annoying.

I learned the hard way not to show any PDA before others.  Maybe some hand holding if that but not anything past that.  I'm a teacher so I can't be touched in public by someone else besides a handshake. (Don't believe me? Ask around.)  I keep myself tightly contained at all times, part of that would be to not be lovey dovey before others physically or verbally.
