I think the best gift you can give your new friend is the truth, Gold Pile. Every thread you've started on this board - including this one. Print them all off and take them with you to your next meeting with the nun so that she can read through them and decide how best to guide you. Then come back and report to us all on what happens.

When posting, I sometimes I don't come across as nice as I really am.

I cumminicate better in person.

You'll find this out next time we get together:love:

Give to a charity.

Tell her you wanted to give her a gift and ask her what her favorite charity would be.

He doesn't want to trick a nun per se, nor does he have alterior motives.

It is my opinion to the contrary scratch. We are all entitled to our opinions.

That's a fine idea, but the dollar amount is hard to decide. The cheapskate or flashy spender thing.

Maybe I should wait till she's finished with me, then decide the right amount vs all her time and effort.

Most basic of morals here, I would NEVER try to do what you're saying. Never.

Say what you want about the rightness of how I treat others, but please don't think I'd do anything remotely off color with her.

No? What about this, then?

I'm not reassured that you meeting the nun again is a good idea.

Ha, you are trying to get me going !

Maybe our little Palm Springs thing has made you feel some ownership of GP?

Anyone who can't bring themself to think highly of GP should at least think higher of the lady in question.

Anyway, I've been very open (here) of my targets and plans. I've zero reason to fib now.

You've proven that you treat everybody the same. You manipulate and lie to them, to "present the image of wealth." That includes the persona you've shown us, and that includes the nun. What's the big deal about going a little farther and throwing one into her?

Tell you what - you're close enough to the city. Come on down. Meet me for a drink, and bring me the first four pages of your last five tax returns. I'll post the results, and tell everyone how well you come across in person.

ETA: Lynda, your assumption that the truth about him appears on this board is likely off base.

You could be right. I do have a tendency to be gullible at times.

What do you know about her other than being a nun? Favorite authors or music?

I remember talking with a man in a bookstore once for a long time. We were both buying the latest Stephen King book at the time and found out we both were avid King fans and had both read all of his books. We have been discussing various books for at least 20 minutes when a nun came up and said "are you ready to go father?" Father as in Priest. I was surprised and I guess it showed because he laughed at my expression. As he told me "how can I serve my flock and my God if I keep myself separate from what goes on in the world and know nothing about popular topics, hobbies, etc." I don't remember exactly how he phrased it, but you get the gist.

Maybe she collects cows or bells or magnets or something and would like something like that.

buy her a karate movie

j/k

i think she is a gift herself by God to you. so something thats important to her should be a good gift

i'd say buy her a nice gold cross with a chain you can this in any mall for 40 to 500 dollars depends on what you wanna spend.

I can't think of a person more apt to post on a messageboard under a persona crafted from one's own imagination.

True enough. GP's probably a 15-year-old pimply boy with nothing better to do than pretend to be a playa.

the loud, rude, crude, Outcast

You do realize that personal attacks can get your butt banned, do you not?

Thank you for backing down from the opportunity to prove that you're being truthful. That's the second time in an many pages (the first being when you declined to show the nun your posts here).

I don't know about other people, but if I was constantly accused of being untruthful and was given multiple opportunities to demonstrate my veracity, I'd jump at the chance.

The picture continues to come into sharper focus.

I don't think Gold Pile is looking to get his butt banned, Outcast. Just spanked a little, then soothed with some baby-lotion, well-powdered and placed into a nice, fresh adult-sized nappy (diaper).

Perhaps the following site will provide some gift ideas, and before I receive any complaints or agitated PMs, I should point out that the special interest group it caters for often wish for nothing other than to return to happier and more innocent times. GP, I pride myself on having good instincts about other people, and I suspect that this link may give you some useful gift ideas. Enjoy!

I still think the bun is a great idea. Nothing beats self-made fresh-from-the-oven buns. :bunny::laugh:
