If a woman has a birthday dinner with family and in-laws and invites a guy friend (no other friends) does she like the guy?

Bare in mind that I'm not the guy. Just curious.

Family and in-laws? So she's married?

What exactly is the question?

No, she's single. The in-laws are her sibling's. And I just wanted to know if she might like the guy since she didn't invite anyone else? Either that or they're good friends I guess.

Are you interested in her? How do you know she specifically invited him and he's not just a friend of the family?

I don't think so. He may have been alone/lonely, and she thought it might be thoughtful thing to do to ask this friend to attend the family dinner. People do it all the time in my family...doesn't mean romantic interest in the least.

Or the worst case scenario in laws might be talking crap she's always single and she decided to bring a guy along for a change.

Not really, could just be a friend

It could just be a friend.  People invite friends to birthday celebrations with their family.
