Or are there just a number of compatible people out there you could settle down with and be happy? If there are soulmates, how come only some of us are lucky enough to find them?? Does anyone truly think they have found a soulmate??

Does anyone truly think they have found a soulmate?? I believe there are such people who are our soulmates. I use to ponder that same question. I actually bought a book called Soulmates. it was a bit to deep for me. I believe soulmates are people we connect with on a very deep level. People whom we understand and they understand us better then most. It could be anyone not just a lover but a friend or even a family memeber.. I don't think there is just "one" person out there for us. I think there are actually several people we are compatable with in our lives. Heck maybe more then just several. I believe it all has to do with how much the two of you are willing to compromise, communicate, share, accept and enjoy each other. Not excluding chemesty. My last serious bf was someone whom I could read into.. I would guess 99% of the time. I consider him the soulmate of my life so far. I knew when he lied to me, I knew when he was upset about something, I knew what he was feeling --I even felt what he was feeling before I called him on it. I had a deep intuition (6th sense with him). He use to freak out all the time because he couldn't hide anything from me. Maybe that was one of the reasons why he left me. He lied to me; tried to, and couldn't, I could feel he was lying. I believe a soulmate is someone you connect with on a very very deep level that you dont with others.
